Why Shaz & Co.

Offshore staffing works better when the role, the person and the operating model all fit.

BUILT FOR THE WORK

The goal is not to put a cheaper person in an expensive seat

Cost is one reason businesses look offshore, but it is not enough to make the arrangement work. A low monthly rate is expensive if the person needs constant rework, cannot communicate with the team or leaves after a few months.

We would rather understand the seat properly, recruit for it properly and build an arrangement that can last.

Why Shaz & Co. principles

01—05
01

We recruit around the work, not only the title

Job titles hide a lot of variation. One accountant may spend most of the month closing books for small businesses while another works on internal reporting. One SEO specialist may be strong in local search while another has spent years on large content sites. We use the actual responsibilities to shape the search.

02

You meet the person before they become part of your team

Offshore should not mean anonymous. You should know who will be doing the work, understand their background and have the opportunity to ask your own questions before making a decision.

03

We separate skills that matter from requirements that merely sound good

A ten-item software list can shrink the candidate pool without improving the hire. So can asking for an arbitrary number of years. We help distinguish the requirements that affect performance from the preferences that can be learned after joining.

04

We treat working hours as part of the job

Time-zone overlap is not an afterthought. Some roles need full US-hour coverage. Others only need a few shared hours for meetings and handoffs. We define that before recruiting so candidates understand the schedule they are accepting.

05

We do not disappear after placement

People change, roles evolve and occasionally a hire is not the right fit. We stay involved so there is a clear place to raise workforce concerns and a defined route for replacement assistance under the engagement terms.

What we will not pretend

Offshore staffing is not magic. A new hire still needs onboarding. Managers still need to set priorities. Sensitive systems still need sensible access controls. Senior work still needs the level of review your business would require from an equivalent local employee.

We also will not claim every role can be filled instantly. A narrow stack, unusual schedule or senior specialist requirement can take longer. We would rather give you a realistic search than force a weak candidate into the role to hit an artificial deadline.

The questions we think every offshore provider should answer

01

Who will actually employ or contract the worker under the proposed arrangement?

02

What is included in the monthly fee and what is not?

03

Where will the person work from?

04

What equipment and security controls are included?

05

How are candidates screened for this specific role?

06

Will the worker be dedicated, and what does dedicated mean in the agreement?

07

What happens if the person resigns or is not a fit?

08

How are salary changes, leave, holidays and attendance handled?

09

Who owns day-to-day performance management?

10

How are system access and offboarding handled when someone leaves?

Ask us these questions too. A staffing relationship should be clear before anyone gets access to your business.
